🔔 Overview - JK Anganwadi Recruitment

The Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), B.K. Pora, under the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, has released an official notification for the recruitment of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) under the Poshan Project B.K. Pora. This recruitment drive aims to fill 02 Anganwadi Worker (AWW) posts on an honorarium basis at designated Anganwadi Centres.

Applications are invited from eligible women candidates who are domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and residents of the respective wards where the Anganwadi Centres are located. The selection will be carried out purely on merit basis, calculated from the marks obtained in the 10+2 examination, as per the prescribed guidelines.

📌 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the post of Anganwadi Worker (Sanginis) must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

🔹 Domicile & Residency

  • The candidate must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir

  • The candidate must be a resident of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located

  • The candidate’s name should appear in the voter list of the concerned ward

  • If the candidate’s name appears in the voter list along with parents, an unmarried certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar is mandatory

  • In case of any dispute regarding residence, a residence certificate from the concerned SDM/ACR will be considered final

🔹 Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years

  • Maximum Age: 37 years

🔹 Educational Qualification

  • Minimum Qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary)

  • Maximum Qualification: Graduation

  • Candidates with qualifications higher than graduation are not eligible

  • If no eligible 10+2 candidate is available in the concerned ward:

    • Candidates from the adjoining ward may be considered with approval of the Mission Director, Mission POSHAN

    • If still unavailable, candidates from the nearest ward in the Panchayat may be considered with approval of the MD, Mission POSHAN

🔹 Selection Criteria

  • Selection shall be made purely on merit

  • Merit will be calculated based on marks obtained in 10+2

  • No other criteria will be considered

  • In case of a tie in merit, the older candidate will be preferred

  • If an eligible candidate belongs to the family of a retiring AWW/AWH, she will be awarded additional 2 points

  2. Fill in all required details carefully

  3. Attach self-attested photocopies of all mandatory documents

  4. Submit the completed application within the deadline

  5. Ensure that all eligibility conditions are fulfilled before submission

  • Domicile Certificate of J&K

  • Educational qualification certificates (10+2)

  • Voter ID Card / Aadhaar Card

  • Unmarried Certificate (where applicable)

  • Two passport-size recent photographs

Candidates shortlisted on merit will be called for document verification, where original documents must be produced.
