Exam Overview
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released the official notification for the post of Statistical Officer (Statistics Department) for the year 2025–26. The competitive exam includes 150 objective-type questions carrying 150 marks, all to be completed in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
The recruitment process is conducted online through the official RPSC portal, and only one written examination is prescribed for selection.

Sampling Distributions: t-distribution, chi-square distribution, F-distribution, their inter-relationships

Theory of Estimation: Point & interval estimation, properties of estimators, maximum likelihood estimation, least squares, confidence intervals
Hypothesis Testing: Concepts of null and alternative hypothesis, Type I & Type II errors, critical regions, tests for large/small samples, non-parametric tests
Survey Design: Sampling units, frames, sampling errors, precision vs accuracy, various sampling schemes
Time Series Analysis: Decomposition into trend, seasonal, cyclical and irregular components

6. Eligibility (Educational Qualification)
The candidate must have at least Second Class Master’s Degree in:
Economics OR
Statistics OR
Mathematics (with Statistics) OR
Commerce (with Statistics) OR
M.Sc (Agriculture) Statistics
7. Additional requirement:
RS-CIT certificate or equivalent
8. Experience:
1-year experience handling official statistics in Govt./University/Commercial organization
9. Age Limit
